Joyce Oates is a retired Postmaster of USPS in Prosperity SC, and is now happily pursuing her passion for painting. Residing near Lake Murray, she enjoys painting water scenes with birds and backgrounds for functions at her Church. She primarily paints with oils but also acrylics and watercolors when needed. Her paintings have been featured and sold at exhibits in the SC State Fair. As a member of Chapin Crooked Creek Art League, she has won several awards in their Annual Art Exhibits & Juried Shows. Currently, you can find her paintings featured throughout the Midlands of SC.

Joyce believes that art is not just a hobby, but a passion that brings pleasure to both the artist and the viewer, it is a God given talent that should be shared. Joyce also paints custom portraits on commission of family members, pets, bridal couples, and historic homes.
